How to Install Android 4.0.3 ICS to Nexus S 4G

It seems like everybody is craving for some of the Ice Cream Sandwich that Google has served. Many Android users have had the luck of receiving Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, whether through official or unofficial sources, on their devices.  Requirements

• Root your Nexus S 4G.
• Download and install ClockworkMod Recovery to your device. (You can do this by using ROM Manager)
• Download the Dooderbutt 4.0.3 v1 ICS ROM from here and save it to your computer.
• Make a back up of your apps and important data. This is not really necessary, but just in case anything goes wrong with the installation, your important data are safe.
• Follow the instructions carefully.

Here’s how to install this ICS ROM on your Nexus S 4G:

1. Copy the ICS ROM that you have downloaded earlier to the root of your phone’s SD card.
2. Reboot your device and go to recovery mode then create a Nandroid backup afterwards.
3. Select “Wipe cache” and “Wipe dalvik cache.”
4. From the recovery menu, select “install zip from sdcard”, then “choose zip from sd card” and select the ROM’s ZIP file.
5. The ROM will then be flashed, which will take a couple of minutes.
6. Once flashing is done, simply reboot your device and enjoy ICS on your Nexus S 4G.

This ICS ROM will give Nexus S 4G users something to play around with for the moment before the official ICS update for the device rolls out. At the same time, they can at least have some idea on how awesome a fully functional ICS would be on the Nexus S 4G.
